The Trade Dollar was a silver dollar coin issued by the United States solely for trade in the Orient with China, Korea, and Japan. It is 420 grains in weight, composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, as opposed to the 412 grains of a standard US silver dollar of the time period. This is an excellent replica of this very rare and historic coin.
